Anjum Ismail, MD, MBA, FACC, is a board-certified cardiologist at Advanced Heart Care Associates, serving at their Henderson, Nevada location. Dr. Ismail brings more than 30 years of experience and expertise to the practice and has worked as a cardiology and internal medicine specialist in a variety of settings.

Hailing from Pakistan, Dr. Ismail completed his undergraduate studies at Graduate Forman Christian College in Lahore, Pakistan, in 1982. He later attended King Edward Medical College in Lahore, graduating with his medical doctorate in 1988. He completed his first internship in internal medicine and general and pediatric surgery at Mayo Hospital in Lahore in 1989.

After moving to the Bronx in New York City, Dr. Ismail completed his internal medicine residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in 1995, where he became chief resident. Four years later, he relocated to Orange, California, and completed a cardiology fellowship at the University of California Irvine.

Today, Dr. Ismail holds board certifications in internal medicine, cardiology, interventional cardiology, nuclear cardiology, and echocardiography, and he is on the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE). He also has a master’s in business administration (MBA) from Marylhurst University in Lake Oswego, Oregon.

Dr. Ismail provides complete care for cardiology conditions ranging from arrhythmia and chest pain to congestive heart failure and palpitations. He stays abreast of the latest treatments in cardiology, including the newest pacemaker technology, stents, and peripheral intervention.

Outside of his work at Advanced Heart Care Associates, Dr. Ismail is director of the Chest Pain Center at St. Rose Siena Campus in Henderson, Nevada. He is also a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society of Coronary, Angiography, and Intervention. He is also a member of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.
